The GMC3018 CNC Gantry Machining Center is designed for heavy-duty, high-precision machining of large workpieces. Its substantial worktable size of 1600 mm width by 3200 mm length, combined with a maximum load capacity of 6.5 tons, enables it to accommodate and process substantial parts with ease.
The machining center offers an extensive travel range with 3000 mm on the X-axis, 1900 mm on the Y-axis, and 800 mm on the Z-axis, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in aerospace, automotive, mold making, and heavy machinery manufacturing.
Featuring a robust BT50 spindle taper operating at speeds up to 6000 rpm, powered by a 15 or 18.5 kW motor, this machine delivers ample cutting power for various materials. The spindle is oil-cooled to maintain performance stability even during prolonged machining sessions.
The machine utilizes a dual chip evacuation system with double-helix and chain conveyors that maintain a clean work environment, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing downtime.
The tool magazine, a 24-tool disc arm type by default, can be optionally upgraded to a 40-tool chain magazine to support complex machining requirements. The high-speed tool change system helps minimize cycle times.
Precision is guaranteed with positioning accuracy of ±0.0075 mm on the X and Y axes and ±0.015 mm on the Z axis, alongside a repeatability of ±0.005 mm. Rapid traverse speeds reach up to 15 m/min, ensuring swift and efficient machining cycles.
The machine’s substantial size and weight (9200 mm length × 4700 mm width × 4300 mm height; approximately 26 tons) reflect its sturdy construction and durability for demanding industrial environments.
